Primacy Explainer: Why do you need a rulebook?

At Primacy, the first big question we want to help our customers answer is ‘what laws apply to me’?

The law is recorded in books.

Those ‘books’ can be electronic or made of paper, but they need to be used like books, with the pages turned to jump from one place in the book to another. Each law or regulation is a single book, and it will contain many separate rules, which may or may not be contained in a single sentence.

The law is also a logical system.

This system prizes precision and clear definitions, so legal documents like contracts and legislation usually have a definitions section, which does its best to define in human language what a word or phrase means.

So, when you’re reading a legal document, you often need to jump from page to page to understand what the particular sentence you are reading means AND you might also need to jump from book to book to get the complete meaning.

Sound like a lot of page turning?

It sure is. Imagine lots of sticky tabs in physical books, or lots of bookmarks in digital ones, which makes it very difficult to communicate that knowledge and share it with a team.

Build your rulebook with Primacy OK

What if you had an application that could help you collect all those different words and phrases all in one place so it was easy to find the rules that applied to you? With Primacy OK's online rulebook that’s exactly what you can do. We give you the tools you need to collect, organise and share only the rules that apply to you and your business, making compliance cheaper, easier and more complete.
